Special thank you to Dani Navarro for the amazing art and inspiration. I cannot recommend this artist enough if you are looking for commission work.
When I first moved to the Triangle I was repeatedly told that there “wasn’t a strong kink scene” around here. Obviously that’s not true, and I hope this event makes that fact very clear. This was a bit of a passion project for me because of those statements. I’ve always been passionate about the things that are physically close to home for me. My community, my city, the people that make those up, and the spaces they inhabit.
I wanted to make yall aware of a few local organizations, not for donations (although I’m sure that’s appreciated), but more so for real opportunities to get your hands dirty. Obviously there are monumental problems that exist across the world right now, many in or stemming from our own country, but I would ask for the moment you look closer to home.
Protests and movements and support and relief are ABSOLUTELY vital to our future, but so are the smaller things that are happening in our own communities. If you’re finding yourself increasingly anxious, I would offer you this advice. Look close to home and do something with your hands that can push the community you inhabit forward into a future you want to be a part of.

Just wanted to say thank you again for being a part of this community. even as I write this I’m getting misty eyed at the recognition that I really have a home in the triangle. Though I only moved here in 2022, the warmth I’ve been shown by the various communities in this metropolitan area (kink or otherwise) has been absolutely overwhelming and has afforded me a level of familiarity that I did not expect for several more years. So, thank you for that, thank you to Zeitgeist being kind enough to open its doors on short notice when the event was moved, and, perhaps most importantly, thank you for coming.
